DELL CHAMPS WORKSHOP!!!

‘Knowledge is the kindling of a flame.’

                             Dell organized a ‘Dell Champs’ workshop for students as well as parents for classes V-VII to enhance the process of learning through a technology based quiz where students and parents were teamed up and vie for the title of ‘Dell Champs’. The students along with their parents willingly attended the workshop.
                                                 There were two rounds in the Quiz Competition. The first round was successfully cleared by six teams for the second round.  

                                          In the next round i.e. City Level two teams were selected for the city level.  The third level will be conducted online wherein the winning team will be given ‘Dell Champs 2016’.They also showed different videos which was very fruitful for students to accomplish their goals in future. This outstanding contest was an initiative to unleash the tech masterminds across India and make them a national star.

Participating and winning teams will be awarded by Dell.

Balloon Painting Activity !!!

                                            A balloon Painting Activity was held in Pre-Primary section of the school in which the students painted the balloons with help of their teachers giving the message of ‘Save Earth’. The students had a great time and enjoyed Painting balloons. 

IKEBANA COMPETITION !!!

Beauty simplified. “Ikebana Competition”
Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is a disciplined art form in which the arrangement is a living thing where nature and humanity are brought together. Ikebana often emphasis towards shape, line and form, natural shapes and graceful lines. What distinguishes Ikebana from other approach such as “flower arrangement is its asymmetrical form, simplicity and minimalism. It is steeped in the philosophy of developing closeness with nature. One basic premise of Ikebana is the idea that the arrangement symbolizes heaven, mankind and earth, these three elements, each of which represented by different elements in the arrangement. 
                                              To make students aware of this art form and strengthened their bond with nature and the God, a House Wise Ikebana competition was held in the school on 27th of August for classes (VIII-X). Each house had six participants. This provided the opportunity to explore students’ aesthetic sense.The Sahibzada Fateh Singh  house was announced first.

IX & X class Career Counselling Workshop!!!

                                          The best time to start exploring career options is high school. That is the right time to chalk out one’s course of action especially in the present times. This piece of advice was given to students by career guidance counsellors of Akash institute on 23/08/2016 for class’s IX &X.

                                           They guided the students about various career opportunities apart from being a Doctor or an Engineer. They advised the students to introspect themselves, their aptitude and their personality before choosing a career. Students were also informed about various examinations that can help in their career counseling. The programme was a boon to the students in taking a correct decision about their career.
The session was a respite to the students who were constantly stressed, more so because of parental and peer pressure.


Janmashtami Celebrated in Saint Soldiers!!

Janmashtami celebrated in Pre-Primary wing of SSPS.
The birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated with infectious enthusiasm. The highlight of the programme was breaking of the ‘Dahi- Handi’ by the tiny- tots of the pre primary wing. 

Students came dressed traditionally like “Radha-Krishna, Yoshoda & Gopi-Gwalas & broke the dahi-handi amidst the cheering of the entire pre primary wing. Their teachers told them importance of the festival. Principal Mrs Aruna Suresh motivated the students. The programme was immensely enjoyed by students and teachers alike.

PAPER BOAT ACTIVITY!!!

                                     Paper Baot on water Making Activity was organised on 20-08-16.
                      Teachers of Pre Primary wing of Saint Soldier Public School organised the Paper boat on water activity. In which Teachers taught student “How to make paper boats, & children also floated their paper boats on the water, with the guidance of their teachers.

                     children enjoyed the activity very much and learnt about floating and sinking.

Pot Decoration Activity!!!

                                        A Pot decoration activity was organized for classes I to V. The students showed a mass participation where in each class demonstrated their creativity in pot decoration. The students used many decorative items for pots. They were given two periods time to show case their novelity.
                             Put in their best came out with beautiful pots. Best five pots were choosen from each class. 

                            This activity inspired & gave opportunity to students to enhance their aesthetic skills. 

COLLAGE MAKING COMPETITION : WORLD A GLOBAL VILLAGE

                         Gone are the days when world had distance, gone are the days when boundaries divided the countries, now everything is found at our doorstep, in the time of fastest means of communication, commutation and globalization. Humanity has entered in the era of globalization where in everyone and everything is connected to each other, everything is open for everyone and accessible. A new era has commenced where in people have realized that thinking as a global citizen would only help in making this world a better place and ensure overall development of humanity.


                          To train young minds as global citizens and connect them with this idea a house wise Collage making Competition for classes (VI-X) was organised in the school on 20th Aug. The topic of Collage was “World a Global Village”. Each house had six participants in total. This house wise Collage Making Competition provided an opportunity to the young minds to display their vision of world as Global village with creativity and innovation. The winner house was appreciated and awarded during assembly.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration!!

                            Students of Pre-Primary wing of Saint Soldier public School celebrated the festival of raksha bandhan on 17-8-16.
“This festival strengthens the bond of love between a brother & a sister.”


                                  Students were appraised about the importance of Raksha bandhan by their teachers & then students participated in Rakhi Making Activity and then the celebration continued by tying Rakhis of myriad colours on the wrist of the boys, by the girls.
This Rakhi Making Activity enhanced the creativity of students and spread the note of “Universal brotherhood”.

Independence Day celebration at Saint Soldiers!!

Freedom in the Mind,
Faith in the words …
Pride in our souls …
Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.
The staff, students and parents of SSPS gathered to celebrate the 70th Independence Day of our nation, on monday August 15, at 8 am at SSPS. The Principal welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest we were blessed to have Sardar Jasbeer Singh Ji ( Chairman of Rajasthan State Commission For Minorities and Treasurer of Shri Guru Nanak Satsang Sabha Education board), Shri Baldev Singh Ji(Former Chairman Vigilance Committee Jaipur Nagar Nigam and Additional Secretary Shri Guru Nanak Dev Satsang Board) & our Respected Secretary Sir Sardar Gurmeet Singh Ji with us.
                                               To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the chief guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the national anthem and expressed the joy of freedom. Our Chief Guest then addressed us all & inspired us with his encouraged words.

To keep alive the flame of patriotism, the students rendered a patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our motherland. Shivam Natani  of Class X shared his views on the significance of the day and highlighted the importance of the day by his Hindi speech. 
                             Then the students of Class VII presented a mass drill to signify the importance of discipline & physical fitness.Thereafter Aditi Modi of Class X presented an English speech giving the message that Freedom is a gift, a privilege and a challenge. It does not consist in doing what one wants to do but doing what is expected to do.”
                                              On this auspicious day, the proud youth of our Mother India presented a dance drama which depicted history of our country under the foreign powers for centuries is now free and has a vision of becoming a super power. The drama also showed   the youth as the wealth and the hope of the nation who will lead the country and make it a great nation of the world. It was indeed a day of joy, love and respects for the country and the students urged to make India a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
                                       Post this the prize distribution took place where in Shri Baldev Singh ji bestowed prizes to the winners of various competitions held at different schools. School won first position in Go Green National campaign competition organised by Vivekananda society for social service at city level. Also students were awarded who secured third position in poem recitation and general awareness campaign held at Jaishree Periwal school in their Flair Fest on 11th August 2016.
                                           Our Respected Secretary Sir then expressed his gratitude to our chief guest and all the parents for making this occasion a success.Last but not the least our Respected Principal Ma’am Mrs. Aruna Suresh thanked our Chief Guest Secretary Sir & Parents for taking out their precious time & congratulated all students & Teachers who put up a wonderful show.

Pre Primary Rhyme Recitation Competition !


Poem Recitation competition was held in the Pre-Primary wing of the school, in which all the three classes Nursery, K.G. and Prep. presented two poems from their syllabus.
Students participated in it with great spirit and enjoyed the  recitation.
The Principal of the school Mrs. Aruna Suresh encouraged the students by her motivational words.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

 “Leaders are the real role models who inspire the followers & motivate them to reach the target of success.”                     
                  The school witnessed its investiture ceremony for this session on 30th July 2016. We were honoured to have with us our respected Secretary Sir Sardar Gurmeet Singh Ji as our guest of the occasion. The auspicious ceremony started with the welcome of our Secretary Sir & Principal Ma’am followed by lamp lightning ceremony seeking wisdom from the almighty. After that the newly appointed school council members presented a crisp march past. Then the school council members marched ahead on stage with heads held high, to the beautiful beats of the school band where they were designated with their badges & sashes by our respected Secretary Sir & Principal Ma’am.
School has been further divided into four houses for its smooth functioning i.e. SAHIBZADA AJIT SINGH HOUSE, SAHIBZADA FATEH SINGH HOUSE, SAHIBZADA JUJHAR SINGH HOUSE & SAHIBZADA ZORAWAR SINGH HOUSE.
Each house incharge then came ahead and announced the names of their newly appointed office. The newly appointed house council members of each house marched ahead one by one wherein they were adorned with their badges & sashes by their house incharges & their house teachers.
The school then witnessed the anxiously awaited moment of flag ceremony. The whole stage lit up with the vibrant colours of the different flags & the event reinstated the faith in the potential and leadership of the future generation. The Head Boy took the oath and sworn the newly formed council cabinet. Soon after that head boy Abhishek Gupta presented his speech promising a definite change for the better tomorrow with great conviction.
Secretary Sir of the school then motivated and guided the students to always stand for the truth and what is right. At last our respected principal ma’am Ms Aruna Suresh congratulated and encouraged the students to give their best.
Last but not the least on behalf of all council members head girl Palak Sharma expressed vote of thanks.

FUN WITH SCIENCE ACTIVITY !!!

                        Fun with science activity was held in Pre Primary wing of Saint Soldier Public School. Teachers of Nursery, K.G and Prep organized different science activities like- changing colours , sink and float, day and night, magnetic effect on things, balancing, sounds of different things, Properties of air etc.
 Teachers also told them about the importance of science in their daily life. Children enjoyed and learnt the concepts taught through these activities.
