Celebrating Baisakhi



On 13th April 2012 our school celebrated Baisakhi festival with lot of enthusiasm and gaiety. The celebration started with speech giving by the student of class VIII followed by a traditional punjabi folk dance by the students of classes VIII onwards. The dance was quite captivating.


14th April being the ‘Ambedkar Jayanti’, a student of class XI gave a speech on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The celebration ended with the speech giving by Principal Ma’am in her very own way by guiding the students on the importance of sacrifice.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY BY TEACHERS (2-April-2012, Monday)

New session 2012-13 started enthusiastically on 2.4.12. A special assembly was conducted by the SSPS teachers to welcome the students to the school in our very own traditional way. The assembly started by praying and with a hope to achieve success throughout. A welcome song ‘Swagatam’ was sung by the teachers, followed by a short skit focusing on exam phobia among students and imparting basic value that one can achieve success by regular studies. Regular studies can help us to be successful rather than last moment studies.

Students enjoyed the skit. It was an experience for them watching their own teachers performing on the stage. Students came to the school with new zeal to face and overcame new challenges of the new academic session.

To guide the teachers of SSPS, a workshop was organized to give a brief on the teaching methodologies, what makes a teacher, a good teacher.

Mr. Abhinav guided the teachers to always notice what the student says. He believed that character is what the one do behind the curtain. A teacher should have a strong wish, strong trust, a positive thinking, always willing to learn.

He talked about ‘Time Management’ One should always make priority list and act accordingly. One should be organized and approach towards time. Accept the things, solution will always be there. With this note and various interesting activities the workshop came to an end.

                 We are all teachers but we should focus to be a good teacher always.Mr. Saxena guided us through his experience that how can a person be a good teacher. A teacher should be capable enough to solve the queries of his pupils. He should be always available to his students. There should be perennial resourcing of knowledge, a teacher should always be open to acquire more and more knowledge. He should act as a purifier and provide all valuable information to his students. He should be capable enough to deliver his lectures in the most effective manner. And the foremost thing is that his knowledge should be utilized to the fullest by his students and the scholar should attain satisfaction by getting the knowledge.The session ended with the vote of thanks by the Principal Madam.

GOOD LUCK CEREMONY AND BLESSINGS

                    
                                                Saint Soldier Public School witnessed a very unique ceremony of  good-luck’, for the first time this year.. A wave of blessings washed over the students of Classes X  Children got the blessings of the Supreme divine power. The  Principal Ma'am and the Teacher Fraternity could be seen wishing the students whole heartedly in a complete devotion seeking Good Luck for the young soldierites due to the upcoming CBSE Board Exams 2012.There were plenty of advices from each one to the students and there was a sigh of relief on the student's faces after this Good Luck Ceremony. They felt stronger and more confident after seeking the Blessings of God and the  Wishes from their Entire Saint Soldier family. Master Shubham Mangal, the School Head boy gave the vote of thanks and the ceremony ended with refreshments to the students and staff..

Basant Panchami! Not to miss!

                                 Basant Panchami, the fifth day of spring, is celebrated by propitiating Goddess Saraswati. As she symbolizes the constant flow of wisdom, she also represents the full blossoming of multi-hued Nature, kindling the light of inspiration and hope.Engrossed as we are in the material world, we are unable to understand it.To keep up with the tradition.



Basant Panchami was celebrated in the Saint Soldier Pratap Nagar Campus in a grand manner and Saraswati Ma was offered with flowers and prashad.The colour yellow is of special import during Basant Panchami as it the coming of Spring after a long and arduous winter. It is the colour of the energy giving Sun; the mustard fields in bloom are a bright yellow, exuding the warmth of an imminent season of Basant or Spring. Fittingly, therefore, the radiance is associated with knowledge – symbolized by Goddess Saraswati.And the teachers and pre primary wing students were dressed up in yellow colour which added the function a special touch.

Republic Day Celebration!

  The 63rd Republic Day  was celebrated by the school on Thursday marked by the unfurling of the tricolour, ceremonial march past and cultural programmes presented by school students.
           We feel a sense of pride and it is also a perfect occasion to pay respect to our unsung heroes. At 11:55 Mr.Gurjinder Singhji the President of gurdhwara Ramgarh mod hoisted the flag  in the presence of Mr.Jasbeer Singhji Ex-Chairman of minority commission and other dignitaries.



  
     Among the cultural programmes the history of flag was very appealing and informative.The whole wing was decorated with tri-colours. The students sang patriotic songs and danced on patriotic numbers. Some students spoke on the importance of this day.The day ended with vote of thanks from Principal Madam and distribution of sweets.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION (23/12/11)

For Christian people no day is as gloroius and as joyous as the day on which they commemorate the Nativity of Saviour - Jesus Christ.

The birth of christ offers several values to meditate upon: peace, hope , love, sharing, hospitality, compassion and human dignity.

To present before the students life of St. Nicholes(Santa) and rejoice over the festival christmas was celebrated by all in the school.

The celebration started with Nativity scene, followed by dance presented by class VII girls on christmas carol, christmas carols were sung and then a skit on 'Santa' was presented by students of classess VII & VIII.
A student dressed up like Santa went among the students and distributed sweets. And at the end an inspirational story was narrated by Principal Ma'am.
