Celebration
In 1893, a 24yrs. Old Indian lawyer arrived in Durban to
take part in a lawsuit in Transvaal. He booked a first class train ticket to
Johannesburg and was ordered out of the train because of his colour. The
lawyer’s name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. This experience was the beginning
of the making of the mahatma.
The second Prime Minister of India, he was a great Patriot,
a freedom fighter, he was born in 1904 on 2nd Oct., in Mughal sarai he was shri
Lal Bahadur Shastri.
So on this question occasion, when mother India had the
previlege to have two of her great sons, the whole school assembled to
celebrate it.
2nd October is celebrated as the National
festival on account of mahatma Gandhi & Lal Bahadur Shastri’s B’day. The
students presented a song, a skit a quiz on the special occasion. Depicting the
life history & instances of these two great leaders.
