Fancy Dress Competition

Date – 26/07/2014



A Fancy dress Competition was held in Pre-Primary section of the school. Different themes were planned for the three classes. Tiny tots of nursery class came dressed up as different animals.

The Students of K.G. class came dressed up in costumes of different states of India and the prep class students prepared a skit based on animal’s freedom. A ramp walk was also organized by the students. The whole programme was prepared under observation of their class teacher’s. The Principal Mrs. Gayatri Kulshreshtha appreciated the hard work done put in by the little children.

Investiture Ceremony!

Saint Soldier Public School, Pratap Nagar organized its Investiture Ceremony on 26th July ’14.
Investiture Ceremony is that occasion where we as a school respect and acknowledge the upcoming leaders and repose our trust in them. On this occasion our school was blessed to have with us as chief guest our Respected Secretary Sir Sardar Gurmeet Singh Ji.
The prestigious ceremony began with the prayer song and lighting of the lamp by our honourable Secretary Sir Sardar Gurmeet Singh Ji escorted by our Principal Ma’am Mrs. Gayatri Kulshreshta.
Thereafter the newly elected school council member’s i.e. Head Boy – Pargat Singh, Head Girl – Meghna Vyas, Discipline Incharge- Yuvraj Singh, Exnora Head – Himadri Kumari, Sports Captain- Abhay Raj Singh And Vice Sports Captain- Piyush Upadhayay  marched out , at the sound of band brimming out with confidence.  
Then our Respected Secretary sir and Principal ma’am were invited on stage to pin up the badges and sashes to the newly appointed council members.
The office bearers then came forward and placed the flag on the flag stand promising to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem and to deliver their duties to the best of their abilities and honour the trust bestowed upon them.
To share the responsibilities even house council members comprising Captain, Vice Captain, Exnora Head, Discipline In-Charge and Prefects were elected from each house.
The co-house in charges of each house came forward and introduced all with their House Mistress and the newly elected Council Members. Then yet again at the sound of band each house i.e. Sahibzada Ajit Singh House, Sahibzada Fateh Singh House, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh House and Sahibzada Zorawar Singh House along with the House Mistress / Master Ms. Rashmi Soman, Ms Suma Menon, Mr. Suresh Makhija and Ms Nishi Dessa and elected council members came forward marching on the stage for the flag ceremony.
The house mistress’ along with the co-house in charges bestowed their captains and vice captains with badges and sashes. Then the captains and vice captains of each house respectively stepped forward marching to place their respective house flags on the flag stand.It was a defining moment for all the newly elected council members.
At last our esteemed secretary sir came forward to congratulate all the newly elected office bearers and guided them with the importance of responsibility and the proper way to use their authority. Followed with this was the vote of thanks by our respected Principal ma'am. She once again congratulated the office bearers and expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards secretary sir for sparing his precious time with us.
The programme came to an end with the National Anthem.

CAMPAIGNING FOR STUDENTS

Date: - 19-7-14
A true leader makes his followers greater people than they were before.
To choose the representatives of the school council members campaigning for the nomination of Head Body & Head Girl was done on 18/7/2014. For Head Boy the nominations were Yuvraj Singh from XII B and Pargat Singh from XII A. For head Girl the nomination was Himadri Kumari from XII B and Meghna Vyas from XII B. All the students came forward to express their views and appealed for vote.




If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more you are a leader.

 The school today organized voting for the nomination of Head boy and Head girl. Students from classes 6 to 12 casted their precious vote in the ballet box to choose their representatives. The students were elated to get an opportunity to elect their leaders and eagerly waited for the results.

Know about buttons and beads activity!!

Date: - 19-7-14
Know about buttons and beads activity was done in the pre primary wing of the school. Teachers gathered all the children in educomp room, where they explained the little children about the concept. Teachers showed them different types of buttons and beads later students tried to open and close the buttons of the shirt and also they tried to string the beads.Teachers gave them knowledge about the different usages of buttons and beads. Children thoroughly enjoyed the activity. They were very excited to do the activity at their home also.

BEAT THE HEAT - FUN WITH WATER ACTIVITY

Date: - 14-7-14 (Monday)

Beat the heat - fun with water activity was held in Pre-primary section. In this activity students brought their swimming costume, little children were looking stunning in their costumes.



They were very excited to beat the heat. Students of K.G and Prep enjoyed in big swimming pool and little children of nursery class enjoyed in mini pool with lot of falls and toys in the pool. The activity was done under the observation of swimming Coach Mr. Pawan. He gave them tips for swimming and helped them out in the pool.

Closing Ceremony of Van Mahotsav week

Date:-5th July 2014
As this week observed Van Mahotsav celebration, plantation of the saplings was done by all the students of classes I- X. Various other interesting activities like poem writing, composition writing, and essay writing in both Hindi and English language were organized for the students. We had also organized speech on ‘Importance of Trees’ and ‘Value of Afforestation’.
The programme culminated with a PPT presentation was elucidated by classes IX and X spreading awareness on various issues related to environment and their remedies.
 For classes I-V a documentary on the worth of trees in our life was presented so that they can empathize with present deteriorating condition of our environment, careless attitude of humans towards environment and to be aware of the hazardous effects of deforestation on us.

Even our tiny tots of pre primary were not behind; they brought vegetable plants for the plantation. The teachers primarily explained the benefits and use of plants in our day to day life. Each class with the help of their respective class teachers and gardener planted the saplings. The students thoroughly enjoyed the activity



Our Principal Ma’am Ms. Gayatri kulshresta appreciated all the students for putting in their best and making this week a grand success.

Van Mahotsav Week Celebrated!!

Van Mahotsav was started in 1950 by K.M.Munshi, to create enthusiasm among masses for forest conservation and planting trees. It is a week-long festival, celebrated on different days in different parts of India.
With this the school initiated with the celebration of Van Mahotsav week on July 1 with great aplomb and enthusiasm. The celebration started with a poster making competition for class’s I-X with a message to save trees and save environment. The students displayed their keen interest in showcasing their awareness towards the theme and presented spellbinding and innovative ideas on the theme.
