Van Mahotsav was started
in 1950 by K.M.Munshi, to create enthusiasm among masses for forest
conservation and planting trees. It is a week-long festival, celebrated on
different days in different parts of India.
With this the
school initiated with the celebration of Van Mahotsav week on July 1 with great
aplomb and enthusiasm. The celebration started with a poster making competition
for class’s I-X with a message to save trees and save environment. The students
displayed their keen interest in showcasing their awareness towards the theme and
presented spellbinding and innovative ideas on the theme.
