Lal bahadur Shastri was born on Oct
2 1904, at Mughalsarai, Varanasi as Lal Bahadur Shrivastava., and Shastriji joined the Indian independence movement in the 1920s. Deeply impressed and
influenced by Mahatma Gandhi, he
became a loyal follower, first of Gandhi, and then of Jawaharlal Nehru.
For their incredible work and
freedom that they gave us their birthday is celebrated all over India as Gandhi
&Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti.
Our school also witnessed
celebration of Gandhi Jayanti and LalbahadurShastriJayanti. The students of
class VII presented a melodious song performance which was enjoyed by the
audience students learnt that one can mould one’s thoughts and mind in a
positive manner to develop the physical and mental courage to act with
conviction.
