SHABAD KIRTAN has been an integral part of Sikh worship from the very beginning.
Hymn-singing was in fact the earliest form of devotion for the Sikhs to render
praise to the Lord. A SHABADH KIRTAN was organized at Saint Soldier Public School,
Pratap Nagar, to commemorate the martyrdom of the
SAHIBZADA AJIT SINGH,
SAHIBZADA JUJHAR SINGH,
SAHIBZADA ZORAWAR SINGH,
SAHIBZADA FATEH SINGH.
Students presented the kirtan with high
spiritual feelings and praised the Lord. Indeed, in their deeply meditative
Kirtan the students represented the universal human soul, longing for union
with the Beloved Lord, the Creator Being.
The kirtan was in perfect sur-taal and touched the human soul. A session on recalling the history of
martyred sons of Tenth Guru Gobind Singhji was also done by the students.
