In celebration of ‘Hindi Diwas’
on 14th September, all four houses proved their language competence in
a Hindi debate competition. Eight students presented their arguments to their fellow classmates. Each student received three minutes to
convince all of his or her position. The topic of the debate was should
society have ^‘o`)kJe gksus pkfg,
;k ugha’ . Two students of each house to take
their stake for pros and cons respectively, presented their convincing
arguments with mincing of words.
The debate provided class 6th, 7th and 8th students with the ability to practice their Hindi grammar, construct strong arguments on a topic and again experience speaking in front of
a large crowd. Students in the audience heard these thought provoking arguments
from their classmates and were able to form their own opinions on old age homes
while listening.
