Shri Guru Nanak
Devji set up a spiritual social and political platform for equality fraternal
love, goodness and virtue. He is one of the prominent Gurus of
Sikh communities who inspired people to lead a simple and spiritual life with
purpose of securing humanity. To mark the birth of Guru Nanak Devji a Nagar Kirtan
was organised on 9th Nov. 2016, which commenced from Chaura Rasta
and ended at Gurudwara Chandi ki Taksal at Badi chauper.
The Staff members and students from Std. IX of Saint
Soldier Public School Pratap Nagar were fortunate to be a part of his Nagar
Kirtan under the guidance of honourable Secretary Sir Sardar Gurmeet Singh ji
and Respected Principal Ma’am Ms. Aruna Suresh. The Students along with all the
teachers and class teacher departed from school at 2:35 P.M. The procession
started at 4’o clock. All students went there with a religious fervor and energetically
participated in Nagar Kirtan.
They seeked blessings of Guru Nanak
Dev ji by praying in Gurudwara. The students
along with teachers participated in the rally and raised religious slogans.
This was a pious and serene experience for all.
The Nagar Kirtan ended on a
religious note.
