Diwali Celebration!!

Diwali the “festival of light” was celebrated in the Pre Primary wing of the school.
Children came in colourful party dresses. Teachers explained them the importance of Diwali, and also the safety measures were shared with them.
Then the students made ‘paper diyas’, ‘Crackers’, ‘paper lamps’ and ‘bandarwars’ with the help of their teachers, followed by a dance party.
On occasion of Diwali Celebration a special assembly was conducted by the senior section, where a skit was performed with the message of sharing more of joy and less of crackers and urged students to have a pollution free Diwali.

EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO NAINITAL

                                                                          Educational tours are a media where students come through an experience of witnessing ‘in real’ what they read or should know about India.  We also planned the same and this wonderful tour was organized by our Secretary Sir and Principal Ma’am.  There were 3 staff members and 31 students of which 9 were girls and 22 were boys. The students were from class 11 & 12. We started our tour on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the evening and reached Nainital next afternoon at around three.
                                                                       Nainital is a popular hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and headquarters of Nainital district in the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas. Naintal is famous for its  most significant segment like the  – Nainital Lake, Naina Devi Temple,  Tiffin Top etc.

After reaching Nainital the students were provided with lunch and in the evening were given free time to relax and cherish in the Mall Road (a market street located near lake especially famous for shopping). At night dinner was provided to students and a dance party was also organized for the students. The students thoroughly enjoyed the D.J party.

 We began next day of our tour. The weather and the scenery were fascinating. The students had their breakfast and then we went to Hanuman Gahri temple from where we went to small trekking to suicide point. It was a very beautiful view.
Thereafter we went for trekking to Tiffin Top famous for its scenic view. It took around half an hour for trekking the students were very enthusiastic and hiked the way in a quick pace. After reaching the top the students did horse riding and clicked photographs. Thereafter we went back to the hotel where lunch was provided to the students, after lunch the the students were taken for Rope way. The students were given one hour break to rejoice. The students did ‘shooting’ and had a view of ‘Kanchenjunga’, there were also certain rides that thrilled the students.
After the ropeway the students were left for free shopping for one hour and they were asked to return at the destined place. The same night after having dinner we departed for Jaipur at around 10:30 pm. The next morning we took a break in ‘mandakini hotel at carol bagh at Delhi were the students were given time to refresh themselves and to have breakfast. Then we continued the journey in the bus. The students were enjoying by dancing, singing and by playing games. We took a short break at Dhaula Kuan for lunch. After that we reached school the same day at around ten at night.

Inter School Nukkad Natak Competition

                        Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others and to us as well. Saint Soldier Public School Pratap Nagar, today organised an Inter School Nukkad Natak Competition in its school campus. Ten renowned schools of Jaipur participated in it.The Theme of our Inter School Nukkad Natak Competition was “Smart Phone Ne Hamare Jeevan Ka Apharan Kar Liya Hai Aur Hame Nishabd Kar Diya Hai” .
                             We were honoured to have with us chief guest SARDAR GURMEET SINGH JI. Before beginning the programme lighting of lamp was done by our honourable chief guest, accompanied by our Principal ma’am Mrs. Aruna Suresh.To judge the competition we were honoured to have with us DR. ANAND GANGWAR (a musician, singer, a theatre artist and founder president of Jaipur cultural society.) We also had with us as judge MR. GOPAL SHARMA (an artist, a painter & well-known for his drama and art direction in Baji Rao Mastani and many Rajasthani films.)
Each school was given a code and each school gave their best performance one by one. The schools very dramatically presented how mobile phones when misused can be extremely injurious for the society and individuals.
                                                  After the Nukkad Natak performances a musical performance was given by Deepak Kumar of class X of the host school. Then our regarded Secretary sir addressed the students and guided them for using technology without harming and affecting their lives. Our respected judge Dr. Anand Gangwar also motivated the students and praised their efforts.
                                            It was a tough and neck to neck competition. Finally the first position was bagged by Mahapragya International School & runners trophy went to Saint Soldier Public School C- Scheme. Both the teams along with their escorting teachers were invited on stage for trophy presentation. Our hon’ble Chief Guest & our Principal ma’am felicitated the students with Winner & Runner up trophies. Soon after this our respected secretary Sir SARDAR GURMEET SINGH JI accompanied by our principal ma’am felicitated our esteemed judges with memories who took their valuable time for us.

At last, vote of thanks was given by Ms. Rashmi Soman.

PICNIC DAY!!

Recreation is an important process that helps refresh and reinvigorate both the body and mind. Most recreational activities take place in what is known as discretionary time, or time that a person has when he does not have any responsibilities to attend to at the moment.
These activities can help improve cognitive function and take stress off of a person who thinks about work all of the time. Recreational activities also offer people a great way to socialize and meet others they would normally not have contact with in their daily lives. 
                                                                                        So to provide a fun filled day to the students, they were taken for a picnic to “Kanchan Kesari”, a village resort on 15 of October. The students of Classes III to XII joined the picnic .The students started from school and reached to resort at 10.15. After reaching students were welcomed by welcome drink and snacks.

 As it is a village resort, the students got glimpse of village life -Kalbeliya dance performance, magic show Camel Riding, and Horse Riding. The students also enjoyed dancing on fast numbers. Post that the lunch was served. After having a fun filled day the students returned to school, it provided them an opportunity to refresh themselves.

FOLK DANCE COMPETITION

India is having a treasure of a variety of folk dances. The cultural diversity and rich traditional pattern of Indian society is truly reflected through variety of Indian folk dances.  Each form of dance represents the culture and ethos of a particular region or a group of people. Most of the Indian dances describe and explain the Indian art of living. 

Indian folk dances are full of variation and multiplicity in terms of themes, forms, and styles. Folk dances continue to be a distinct category that can be characterized by the overwhelming spontaneity of participation without an artificial barrier between the actors, performers and in various the audiences. Folk dances play an important role and provide the best medium to express the feelings and emotions of common man. So to let the students know this rich culture of folk dance, a house wise Group Folk Dance competition was held on 14th of October .
The competition commenced with prayer and continued with each house presenting their dance. Dandiya, Bihu, Kalbeliya and Bhangda were the dance forms presented by these house .Each dance filled the environment with enthusiasm. Towards the end respected Principal ma'am Ms.Aruna Suresh addressed the assembly and appreciated the efforts put in by and teachers for making
students show successful. Fateh Singh House secured first position. Thus programme ended.

Dussehra Celebration !!!

Dussehra is the festival which reminds us of the importance of goodness, fighting injustice and following the path of righteousness.’

Navratra & Dussehra was celebrated in Pre primary wing of the school. Students came in their traditional dresses with dandiya, as Garba dance was organized for our tiny tots.
 Children danced on Dandiya songs. Three children came in the dress up of Ram, Sita and Laxman. Ram killed  Ravan by arrow after that  Ravan was burnt and children enjoyed very much .  At last, our respected Principal Ma’am congratulated the students along with the teachers for such a nice and inspiring effort.

                    WORKSHOP ON CAREER COUNSELING

Career advice and guidance acts as a stepping stone for success. In order to let your career move in the direction, you must know the path you need to follow.
Hence a career counseling workshop was organized by CUSAT for the students of class XI and XII.
In this session the students were guided and counselled according to their streams to pursue and attain success in their ambition.

The first step told to them to achieve their goals was to assess themselves. Each individual has different talents and interests therefore to determine what they would enjoy and excel at by taking career assessments and following their passion. The students today were told about varied options like Architecture, Pharmacy, Forensic Sciences, Entrepreneurship, e.t.c

The students were then told the importance of choosing the right institution that would propel them in the direction of your cherished goals and will act as a catalyst to realize their true potential. At last a questionnaire session was organized where students asked their queries related to their career.


The workshop was a guiding light for the students who are ready to venture new career opportunities.

PICNIC

          Saint Soldier Public School, Pratap Nagar, arranged a picnic for the Pre Primary and Primary wing. Children went to Nehru Garden with their teachers by bus. There they enjoyed in the Toy Train, Swimming and Playing Games, followed by snacks party arranged by the school. Principal Ma’am
Mrs. Aruna Suresh wished them all to enjoy the day for their picnic & asked them to enjoy thoroughly.



SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN BEYOND CLASSROOM


             SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN BEYOND CLASSROOM 

Taking the initiative of P.M. Narendra Modi a step head, students of Saint Soldier Public School Pratap Nagar, organized its swachhta rally under the initiative of Mrs. Sangeeta Yadav (Social Worker Pratap Nagar) on 3/10/16 encouraging hygiene and sanitation related activities around the areas near school vicinity.

The students were enthusiastic and eagerly took out a step to ensure the cleanliness of their surroundings. All the students gathered in the school campus and walked from school campus and covered the sector 82 & 83 armed with slogans of cleanliness.
Mr Vinod Purohit (Deputy Commissioner of Jaipur Nagar Nigam) also joined us and motivated our students. The students were also taught the benefits of keeping the ambience clean.


 The students spread the message to keep surroundings dirt free by holding slogans and calling out slogans on cleanliness. The rally was effective and teachers felt that if students are taught about the need to maintain basic sanitation and cleanliness in all aspects, then it will become easy to spread the message of a clean and beautiful city.
