Basant Panchami is a festival that worships Goddess
Saraswati as well as it signifies the beginning of spring season. It is
believed that on this day Goddess Saraswati endows human beings with the powers
of speech, wisdom and consciousness.
Thus, on this occasion of Basant Panchami we had a small
celebration in our school praying to Goddess Saraswati to bless us with huge
wealth of knowledge. The celebration began with a welcome song of spring season.
Thereafter a speech was given letting us a brief history and importance of
Basant Panchami. Then, Principal Ma’am along with the teachers initiated the
puja of Goddess Saraswati and offered flowers, sweets and garlands. At last,
the students came one by one to take blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
